WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A VIDEOGRAPHER?
Most of my clients book me a year out. However, for many videography seems to be one of the last services/vendors couples fit into their budgets. I've been able to fit a couple into my schedule as little as a month month; date permitting. The sooner you're aware of both your wedding date and budget it gives me the opportunity to plan and get to know you guys better. Each year, without fail, couples contact me because the love my films, only to find out I'm booked on their wedding date so please contact me as soon as you can.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes! I love destination weddings and ultimately see myself doing these later in my career as my main wedding film service.
DO YOU HAVE A 2nd FILMMAKER?
Depending on what package you select a 2nd filmmaker can be an option.
WHAT PRICE DO YOUR WEDDING FILM PACKAGES START?
$4,000.
WHY IS VIDEOGRAPHY SO EXPENSIVE?
It's all relative. When I started I was charging $2,000 for my entry level package. 5 years from now I'll likely be charging $8,000 for my entry level package. While I'm there 8 - 12 hours the day of your wedding what most people do not see is the full-week of editing it takes to make your story come to life. Learn from my own mistake... my wife and I skipped on videography when we were married (I had yet to start my business) and our photographer's memory card was corrupt (it happens) and we only received half of our photos. I wish we had spent the money when we actually had it in our budget.
WHY SPEND THE MONEY?
While photos are great and last a lifetime... nothing tells a story like a film. It's just not a film... it's your film.
HOW MUCH DO YOU REQUIRE TO SECURE OUR DATE?
20% is required for me to hold your wedding date.
WHEN DO WE PAY YOU THE BALANCE?
Some couples like to pay their balance along the way and I'm totally fine with that. I do require the balance that's owed after your deposit to be paid in full two weeks before your wedding date. Why? I'm not worried about receive the funds... you shouldn't be thinking about which vendors you have left to pay the day of your wedding. Trust me. Your wedding day needs to be full of memories and having to pay a vendor completely takes away from that.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes.
HOW DO WE MEET BEFORE THE WEDDING?
Since Covid I've started doing a lot of FaceTime and Zoom meetings. It makes it easier on everyone.
HOW DO WE BOOK?
Before I book any couple I require a phone call to make sure we're a good fit. Since I've been doing this for sometime I want to make sure we all are on the same page and not flying by the seat of our pants. If the short phone call goes well then we'll move forward with the 20% deposit and hold your wedding date!
